There’s so much to unpack in each of these words and how they reflect on the backdrop of 2021 America.

May is AAPI Heritage Month & its significance is hitting me deeper than ever before.

In light of the Atlanta shooting and rise of anti-Asian attacks this year, I spent many, many hours delving into my own experience. Growing up in America as a Korean immigrant and also living in Korea for 3 years as an adult. It flooded my thought space and conversations with loved ones.

As an artist, it's only natural for me to direct my ruminations into creative work. Result? My Korean American identity became a KEY inspiration for PIEANA 2.0 launch.

Now I feel that I'm finally landing! At a place where I can FULLY embrace my heritage and identity. Through PIEANA, I want to share more about my experience and engage with others as well. Let's drop the shame & silence narrative and never look back 😉
