07.12.22 🕊last week @corinnebaileyrae graced LA with her queen-meets-angel presence✨

this music unnie and i go way back ➡️ #tbt to 2006 when i first heard “put your records on” 🤩 my teenage heart dropped to the floor in awe + the song catapulted me into a whole new world of music. it’s not only inspired my songwriting - but has been a sweet, lingering life reminder to “just let my hair downnnnnn” because eventually (always!) i’ll “find myself somewhere, somehow” 🤍 felt like i was living my best teenage dream for 2 hours straight ☁️ + walked away feeling like a NEW WOMAN 😌

last week was extra special because i just hit my 6 months in LA and this concert felt like a sweet treat to myself 🍰✨i went to the show alone (first ever!) - in my freshly cut bob🤍 - and felt super inspired + empowered 😌

recently i’ve been challenging myself to do more things alone - and it’s been strangely exhilarating. honestly takes a lot of intentionality + self-control as an extrovert 🌀i feel that i’m reaching a new level of *independence* 🕊 feels like foreign waters yet also much needed (#growth 🥹🥺) if 14 year old me sees me now, i think she’d be hella proud of the woman i’ve become & becoming ✌🏻
